EU yearly inflation rises in March to 1.7 pct


(MENAFN) On Friday, Apr. 16 the bloc's statistical office reported that yearly inflation in the EU came in at 1.7 percent last month, a rise from 1.3 percent during February.

Eurostat said that the amount for the very month of 2020 stood at 1.2 percent.

The euro region yearly inflation rate reached 0.9 percent in March, steady in comparison with January.

Last month, the greatest contribution to the yearly euro region inflation rate was from services, followed by energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, and non-energy developed commodities.
