Israeli health officials says no need for masks outdoor

(MENAFN) Israeli Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced on Thursday a decision that includes the removal of the rules that enforce mask-wearing outdoors in Israel as of Sunday.

The minister had guided the health ministry's director-general, Hezi Levi, to approve an order to remove the restriction, as per the ministerial statement.

The decision was announced on the recommendation by the professionals in the ministry, who said that, due to the low morbidity of COVID-19, there is no longer a need for wearing face masks outdoors in Israel.

The statement further noted that the mask-wearing rules will still apply in the closed areas.
