(MENAFN) During the January-March period of this year, central China's Hunan Province witnessed strong expansion in its international trade partially because of a low base in early 2020 owing to coronavirus.

The customs in Changsha, the provincial capital, stated on Friday that the international trade value stood at 115.12 billion yuan (USD17.6 billion) in the province during the first quarter, a rise of 42.7 percent annually.

The export value rose by 54 percent annually, reaching around USD11,62 billion, whereas the import climbed 25 percent annually, reaching about USD6,02 billion.
