Rise to 1.7 pct witnessed in EU yearly inflation in March


(MENAFN) On Friday, Apr. 16 the bloc's statistical office reported that yearly inflation in the European Union (EU) came in at 1.7 percent during March, a rise from 1.3 percent during February.

Eurostat said that the number for the very month of 2020 was 1.2 percent.

The euro area yearly inflation rate was 1.3 percent during March, a rise from 0.9 percent of the prior month and from 0.7 percent during March last year.

During March, services added the most to the yearly euro area inflation rate, followed by energy, food, alcohol and tobacco, and non-energy industrial commodities.
