Egyptian planes bring weapons, ammunition to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar

(MENAFN)Two Egyptian planes, which landed in Libya's southern Sabha International Airport, had brought weapons and missiles to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, according to the Libyan army.

The weapons were concealed within a batch of medicines, stated Abdelhadi Drah, spokesperson for the Libyan army's Sirte-Jufra Operations Room.

"Two of the Egyptian C-130 aircraft landed in the Sabha Airport under the pretext of bringing medicines but brought weapons and ammunition," stated Drah.

The batch included a small number of medicines, as most of the shipment contained weapons, he further declared.
