N. Mongolian fire kills 200 newborn livestock

(MENAFN) Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency said Wednesday in a statement that a number of 200 newborn livestock lost their lives in a fire in northern region.

The killed livestock, included 50 goat kids and 150 lambs, were reported when the fire took place in an "uvuljuu," or winter shelter, of a nomadic herder in Burentogtokh soum subdivision in Khuvsgul province on Tuesday.

The emergency agency is calling on people to guard against fires amid recent dry circumstances.
