Zelensky approves strategy on activities of President's Representative Office in Crimea


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed decree No.160/2021 'On Priority Areas of Activities of the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which approved the strategy of this body, Ukrinform reports with reference to the president's press service.

The strategy identifies priority areas of work of the Representative Office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea in connection with the temporary occupation by the Russian Federation of integral parts of the territory of Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

According to the Strategy, the President's Representative Office in Crimea will participate in the development of proposals for forming and implementing state policy on de-occupation and reintegration of the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, protecting and supporting citizens living on the peninsula, internally displaced persons and persons deprived of personal rights to freedom in connection with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The Representative Office will also work on the development of effective cooperation with the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, public associations and initiative groups representing the interests of Ukrainian citizens living in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and internally displaced persons.

The strategy envisages the participation of the Representative Office in the implementation of measures to consolidate international efforts to facilitate the process of de-occupation of Crimea, increasing pressure on the Russian Federation to restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
