Saman Naghieh


(MENAFN- The Conversation) Saman is currently a Design Engineer at the Bio-Fabrication Laboratory. He is a mechanical engineer experienced in design, fabrication, project management, and SolidWorks with a good knowledge of advanced manufacturing.

His research interest is tissue-engineered scaffolds with a focus on additive manufactured scaffolds for hard and soft tissues. During his M.Sc. and B.Sc. programs, he has been selected as a distinguished researcher and awarded numerous prizes. Experienced Designer and Product Development Engineer with a proven history of working in 3D printing and its medical applications. Skilled in coaching and supervising, team building, management, recruiting, networking, and teamwork. He was the president of the Engineering Graduate Comunity Council (EGCC, 2017-2018) and the president of the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 40004, Union of Graduate and Postdoctoral Workers at the University of Saskatchewan (2017-2019).
