Jordan- Rise in temps forecast for three days


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Apr. 13 (Petra) -- A slight rise in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday, but remain below annual average, so relatively cold weather conditions will prevail in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be fair in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Low-altitude clouds are also forecast to appear in the northern and central regions, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
On Wednesday, a further increase in temperatures is predicted, becoming around seasonal average and bringing pleasant and spring-like weather in the highlands and the plains, and warm conditions in other areas of the country, with southeasterly to southwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
Mercury will significantly rise on Thursday, bringing moderate weather in the highlands and the plains, while it will be relatively hot in other regions, according to the JMD.
Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 18 degrees Celsius, dropping to 7C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a high of 28C, dipping to 14C during night hours.
