Egypt's FM pays visit to Lebanon to show backing


(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Apr. 7 Lebanese President Michel Aoun took delivery of a message of backing from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi delivered to him by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, in which he confirmed his country's "solidarity with Lebanon and its support for efforts to form a new government."

This came in a declaration released by Lebanon's Presidency after Shoukry's assembly with Aoun at Baabda Palace.

In the assembly, the Lebanese leader voiced his admiration and gratitude for the Egyptian contribution in helping Lebanon confront its diverse catastrophes that are the governmental impasse.

Aoun also talked with Shoukry about difficulties confronting the administration formation procedure, hoping to collaborate with all political parties to find a successful cabinet able to realize its duties.
