Lebanon, Syria talk about sea border separation

(MENAFN)According to Lebanese caretaker Foreign Minister Charbel Wehbe, Lebanese leader Michel Aoun has called Syria's Bashar al-Assad to talk about the separation of Lebanon-Syria maritime borders.
The move came after the Syrian government provided a Russian oil firm the right to carry out oil examination in a doubtful maritime area on the Mediterranean.
Speaking to Lebanese private MTV on Tuesday, April 6, Wehbe stated that Aoun validated in his call with Assad that "Lebanon won't accept to diminish from its sovereignty over its waters”.
Wehbe affirmed that his country sticks to separating the maritime borders via discussions.
