(MENAFN - Gulf Times) The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that one out of four adults in the country has received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine since the start of Qatar's National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.
In its weekly vaccination update issued Sunday, the MoPH said 910,851 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the country until now, with 170,542 doses being given in the last seven days.
The seven-day figures have been steadily increasing as Qatar ramps up its vaccination programme. Some 145,696 doses were given in the previous week and 134,498 doses in the week before that, according to MoPH data.
According to the latest weekly update, 25.4% of the total population (16 years and above) have received at least one dose of the vaccine until now.
A further break-up of the data shows that 76% of people over 60 years of age, 74.6% of people over 70 years of age, and 74.2% of people over 80 years of age have now received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Covid-19 vaccines are being administered at health centres, Qatar National Convention Centre and the two drive-through vaccination facilities at Al Wakra and Lusail.
