Qatar- Deputy PM attends conclusion of Al Adheed exercise


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Under the patronage and presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, and in the presence of Chief of Staff of Qatari Armed Forces H E Lieutenant General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, the Military Forces have concluded Al Adheed exercise 2021.

The exercise continued for two months with the participation of all sectors of the armed forces, and by the participation of  Amiri Guard, Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya, Turkish forces, US forces, in addition of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Ministry of Public Health and Civil Aviation Authority.

The Al Adheed exercise comes as part of the plan to secure the 2022 World Cup, and aims to raise the combat efficiency of the Qatari Armed Forces, using modern command and control systems.

The conclusion of the exercise was attended by a number of senior officers in the armed forces, the Amiri Guard, the Ministry of Interior, Lekhwiya Force, Turkish forces and US forces, in addition to representatives from ministries, institutions and civil bodies.
