Iran to import gasoline next years in case of consumption growth

(MENAFN)Gasoline consumption in the country declined by 20 percent in the last Iranian year, in comparison with the preceding year in light of conserving this fuel and the Coronavirus pandemic.

There is a concern that if there is no optimization and in case of utilization expansion, Iran is going introduce gasoline in the next years.

Iran exported more than USD1.4 billion value of gasoline in the first seven months of the last Iranian year.

Major expansion in the country’s gasoline production and exports shows in spite of the fact that two years ago Iran was an importer of the strategic product, shipping in more than 4.5 million liters per day of gasoline.
