Fair weather forecast in highlands, warmer in Jordan Valley, Aqaba


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 20 (Petra) -- A tangible increase in mercury levels is forecast on Saturday and Sunday, bringing moderate weather in the highlands across the Kingdom and warmer conditions in the Jordan Valley and the southern port of Aqaba.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, temperatures will be 6 to 7 degrees Celsius above seasonal average on Sunday and there could be a chance for light showers of rain in limited ranges of the central and western parts of the Kingdom later in the night.
No significant change on the weather is forecast for Monday, the JMD added.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom will range between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius on Saturday, dropping to 10 at night. In the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, it will be much warmer with mercury levels in the 31 degrees Celsius vicinity.
