China's medical material price index rises 0.02 pct

(MENAFN) On Monday, Mar. 8 the Kangmei Chinese medical material price index, an indicator of the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) material market, climbed 0.02 percent, reaching 1,374.2 points.

Involving over 500 TCM materials comprising herbs and minerals from six key markets nationally, the thoroughly-monitored index shows the total price trend in China's TCM material market. It is issued every day by Kangmei Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, one of the country's key TCM firms.

The indicator was accepted by the National Development and Reform Commission of China in 2012 to provide more opportune and precise reference for TCM material growers, traders and pharmaceutical firms.

Traditional Chinese medicines, commonly offered as oral liquid, granule and capsules, normally utilize the mixture of a number of medical materials, generally herbs, to deal with health issues.
