Egypt's FM, UN chief talk about Ethiopian disputed Nile dam

(MENAFN) On Friday, Mar. 5 Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres shared visions on the disputed Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

A report said that in a phone call, Shoukry expressed his worry over the delayed African Union-led talks on filling and running the GERD.

Shoukry appraised aspects of Sudan's new proposal, which was supported by Egypt, to improve the negotiation method by forming an international quartet headed by the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the present chair of the African Union.
