Container throughout expansion registered in Chinese key ports

(MENAFN) Figures from a developed association demonstrated that Chinese key ports registered mild container throughput expansion in late February.

The China Ports and Harbours Association said that from Feb. 21 until 28, container throughput at Chinese eight major ports rose 1.6 percent annually.

The association noted that the expansion rate at Shenzhen and Guangzhou ports surpassed 20 percent, whereas that of Qingdao port surpassed 15 percent.

The expansion in container throughput for overseas trade occurred amidst the speedy growth in the country's exports. China registered a 4 percent expansion in exports in 2020 as it emerged from worldwide economic and trade obstacles.
