(MENAFN) An army officer Abdul Razaq said that a number of 11 fighters including five security personnel and six militants have been confirmed dead as clash broke out in the outskirt of Kunduz city the capital of northern Kunduz province on Thursday.
The clash erupted after the Taliban militants attacked security checkpoints in Talawka village outside Kunduz city early Thursday morning and as a result five security personnel and six insurgents were killed.
Eight more fighters including three security personnel and five more militants had been injured in the firefight lasted for a while, the official added.
