(MENAFN)In 2020, three major conventional state-run banks in Turkey announced 15.43 billion Turkish liras (USD2.1 billion) in net profit.
Anadolu Agency reported from unconsolidated balance sheets and the country's banking watchdog that the banks' net profit increased from 10.5 billion Turkish liras (USD1.8 billion) in 2020.
The amount of credit of state-run banks stood at 2.22 trillion Turkish liras (USD302 billion) by the end of the last year, it was at 1.5 trillion Turkish liras (USD250 billion) in the preceding time span.
The banks' pretax incomes stood at 20.5 billion Turkish liras (USD2.8 billion) in last year, as their drops were 1.4 trillion Turkish liras (USD190 billion) at the end of 2020.
