Website for celebration of 'Doha, the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World' launched


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Culture and Sports has announced the launch of the website for the celebration of "Doha, the Capital of Culture in the Islamic World".

The website (https://www.dcciw.qa/) includes an introduction to this hosting and its goals, in addition to lists of the events and programmes that will be interspersed, as well as including the latest news, photos and videos of the various events.

It will also introduce the partners, sponsors, and participating entities from within the country, in addition to an overview of Qatar and introducing it to those who follow the events from abroad.

It is also planned to issue a monthly electronic newsletter that includes the most important events that are held monthly.

The site will also allow the user to subscribe and communicate with the grand ceremonial that will be watched by many members of the public at home and abroad.

This will provide website visitors with easy navigation, access to information and interactive participation.

The event starts on March 8 and lasts for the whole year, and will be supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in co-operation with the Islamic World Organisation for Education, Science and Culture (ISESCO), the Qatar National Committee for Education, Culture and Science, and the strategic partners in the country, under the slogan of "Our Culture is Enlightenment", which seeks to promote eternal Islamic values based in particular on science and human dignity, promote the Islamic cultural heritage in an interconnected world, and encourage creativity and innovation as civilised values that enrich Islamic civilisation.
