(MENAFN)Egyptian authorities had done executions against 11 prisoners located in the country's north among huge international human rights criticism against the move.
"The Egyptian Prisoners Authority Monday executed 11 prisoners convicted in criminal cases,” according to the Egyptian daily Al-Watan.
It further stated that "The corpses were transferred to Alexandria’s Kom El Deka morgue, then they will be handed over to their families for burial.”
The executions held after all levels of proceedings, making the provisions "final and enforceable," the daily quoted an unnamed security source.
