(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 28 (Petra) -- Mercury levels are expected to drop few degrees on Sunday, so relatively cold weather conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be fair, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Clouds at various altitudes are forecast to appear with a weak chance of light showers in the southern areas, while winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD added.
On Monday, a further dip in temperatures is forecast, bringing cold conditions in most regions, while it will remain mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with low-altitude clouds and intermittent rain in the northern and central highlands, the department predicted.
Similar weather conditions will continue to persist on Tuesday, with low clouds and southwesterly moderate to active winds, the JMD noted.
Temperatures in Amman today will reach a high of 17 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 5C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 27C, dipping to 12C during night hours.
