Turkey’s foreign trade deficit falls in January


(MENAFN)According to the country’s statistical authority, Turkey’s foreign trade deficit declined 32.8 percent annual in January.

TurkStat declared that the number dropped to USD3.34 billion from USD4.51 billion in the same time span previous year.

According to the latest data, exports increased 2.3percent on a yearly basis to amount at USD15.45 billion last month, while imports fell 5.9 percent to USD18.79 billion.

The exports-to-imports coverage ratio rose to 83.2 percent last month, increased from 76.5 percent in January 2020.
