Kuwait's Ambassador to Qatar praises corridor initiative


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Qatar Hafeeth Al-Ajmi praised on Wednesday the Qatari initiative and the naming the vital Qatari project (Sabah Al-Ahmad corridor) after the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Ajmi said that this initiative embodies the strong cooperation spirit between Kuwait and Qatar, and enhances the deeply rooted relations between the two countries.
"This project reminds us of the many achievements of the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in boosting relations amongst the countries of the GCC and empowering its unity," he said.
"Naming one of the biggest projects in Qatar after our late Amir imprints and is a new mark in the long history of brotherhood between the two countries," he added.
Ambassador Al-Ajmi expressed his gratitude and thanks for the initiative that coincides with Kuwait's 60th National Day and 30th Liberation Day. (end)
