KUWAIT, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait University, namely the patents bureau, has declared producing a medicine for treating vitiligo.
Dr. Salman Al-Sabah, the assistant deputy rector for research cooperation, said in a statement on Tuesday the production and marketing patent accord was recently inked for the Kuwaiti teacher and researcher Mohammad Al-Ansari.
On January 19, a deal for production of the medicine was inked with a Dutch company for distributing the drug in international markets this year.
Dr. Al-Sabah said the drug ingredients include a mixture of plant-extracted materials that activate the melanin cells and others that have anti-oxidation effects. (end)
