Iran says gas network in Sisakht stable after 5.6-magnitude earthquake


(MENAFN)The gas networks in Sisakht and nearby areas are steady after a 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit the southwestern town, according to the head of the Kohgiluyeh-Boyer Ahmad Province’s Gas Company.

Rahman Khadem further stated that “The gas supply network and facilities in most areas of the city have withstood the earthquake and there is no problem in the gas supply to this area,” according to Shana.

The gas providing to the city was detached instantly after the earthquake for taking preventive measures but it was returned back and natural gas is provided via the network to the people in the region, he added.

He also declared that, “After determining the potential leakages and securing and ensuring the safety of the gas supply network, the gas flow was resumed.”
