Jordan- Very cold weather, frost formation forecast on Saturday night-JMD


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 20 (Petra) -Mercury is tipped to rise slightly on Saturday, and the weather will be very cold almost countrywide with northwesterly moderate winds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) update.
During the late evening hours, frost formation is forecast in the highlands and the Badia regions, the JMD has warned.
In its report, the JMD also warned of low visibility during the morning hours due to the fog formation, and of the frost risk in many areas during the early morning hours and late at night.
On Sunday, another slight rise in temperatures is expected, and the weather will be cold almost countrywide, it noted.
Also on Saturday, temps in Amman range between 10 Celsius degrees, dropping to 1C during night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, dipping to 10C during night hours.
