Jordan- Snow forecast to hit areas 700m above sea level-JMD

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Feb. 17 (Petra)- In its updated bulletin, Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said snowfall will hit mountainous heights 700 meters above sea level, forecast to accumulate "unevenly" according to altitudes countrywide.
According to the JMD report, the wind speed is forecast to exceed 90 km/ h in some areas, which triggers dust in the Badia regions before the downpour.
The weather will be extremely cold, and rain increases in the Kingdom's northern and central regions gradually, then forecast to hit the remaining areas, sometimes accompanied by thunder and hail showers, the JMD announced.
The public should take caution of the danger of a low horizontal visibility due to dust in the Badia areas, strong wind gusts, slippery roads, and the possibility of torrents in the northern and central regions during the night hours, the JMD warned.
