Iran to establish shipping line with Syria’s Mediterranean port


(MENAFN)Head of Iran-Syria Joint Chamber of Commerce Keyvan Kashefi stated that Iran will create a direct shipping line amid its southern port of Bandar Abbas and Syria’s Mediterranean port of Latakia after one month.

According to the portal of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), required management made amid the Iran-Syria Joint Chamber and the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) so that cargo ships will be planned to hold freight from Iran to Syria once per month, stated Kashefi.

According to the official, the first cargo will be transported on March 10, saying that the service could be held twice a month if demand for shipping to Syria augmented on the Iranian side.
