Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Ranks 6th in Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, February 11, 2021, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia continues to implement comprehensive reform programs of Vision 2030 that include reducing the dependency on oil and diversifying the local economy to integrate more closely with global markets, with the aim of strengthening its position as a leading global investment destination.
The newspaper added that with the implementation of the reform programs, Saudi Arabia has begun to achieve advanced ranks at all economic and structural levels. For instance, Saudi Arabia ranked sixth in the Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index 2021, and third on the sub-index for business fundamentals. These achievements confirm success in achieving the goals of economic diversification.
Saudi Arabia is keen to provide advanced infrastructure and to transform into a leading logistical hub in the region, as it continues to focus on investing in infrastructure and basic equipments while supporting and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors to increase the private sector's contribution to 65% of GDP by 2030, the newspaper concluded.
Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that the pioneering roles and efforts that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exerts to enhance prosperity at the regional level can be monitored over the past decades in those initiatives and partnerships through which Saudi Arabia established the rules of stability, security, prosperity, development, and regional prosperity with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Arab States.
The Cabinet's approval of the strategy of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in the field of labor and labor force of the members of the GCC for the term 2020 - 2025, which was approved by the Supreme Council of the GCC at its 40th session that was held in Riyadh on 13/04/1441 AH, represents Saudi Arabia's long term efforts aiming at consolidating unity the GCC countries that contribute to maintaining security and stability in the region.
These data affirm Saudi Arabia's pivotal and constant role in aiming to preserve the entity of the GCC and push its distinguished march, the newspaper concluded.
In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that the Houthi militia keeps providing that its actions contradict its words. It keeps implementing the Iranian regime's agenda in an attempt to destabilize security and stability in the entire region.
The newspaper added that hours after announcing its readiness for peace and stopping its attacks that are launched in all directions, especially towards the Kingdom, the militia launched yesterday (2) bomb-laden UAVs to target civilians and civilian objects in Southern Region, as the Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen which managed to intercept and destroy.
All these attacks prove that these militias are just executive arms aiming to destroy Yemen, as they never care about the people who are exhausted by war, nor the role of states exerting efforts to achieve peace, security, and stability in Yemen.
