84 more illegal migrants rescued off Aegean Sea


(MENAFN) Local security officials confirmed on Friday that the Turkish Coast Guard saved 84 refugees in the Aegean Sea.

According to the sources, theTurkish Coast Guard ship reacted to the distress signal and carried out a rescue mission offshore the coast of Ayvacik in Turkey's western province of Balikesir.

In a separate accident, a coast guard team rescued 19 asylum seekers, whose rubber vessel was guided by Greek coastal officials to Turkish disputed sea in the Aegean Sea, off the coast of Dikili in the western province of Izmir.

After regular checks, the immigrants have been referred to the provincial migration agency.
