(MENAFN) With the purpose of talking about electoral matters before the elections, Somali leader Mohamed Farmajo has asked for a key assembly between his administration and leaders of the federal member states (FMS).
The Feb. 1-3 assembly to be hosted in Dhusamareb, the capital of Galmudug State is projected to resolve the impasse on the electoral procedure and set the course for the postponed parliamentary and presidential polls, stated Farmajo.
He stated in a report released on Saturday night hours after sharing talks with envoys of the international community in Mogadishu: "as part of our efforts on the Sept. 17 elections agreement, I will have a three-day consultative forum with FMS Leadership in Dhusamareb from Feb. 1st to 3rd, 2021."
The Somali president whose period into office concludes on Feb. 8 stated he will later on Feb. 5 talk to both Houses of Federal Parliament on national advancement particularly on federal polls.
