(MENAFN)China's steel industry recorded production growth last year, industrial statistics revealed.
In 2020, crude steel production increased 5.2 percent year on year to surpass 1.05 billion tons, according to the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA).
The production of pig iron augmented 4.3 percent from a year earlier to 887.52 million tons throughout the period, the CISA stated.
In December alone, crude steel production increased by 7.7 percent to hit 91.25 million tons, with a daily production of more than 2.94 million tons, according to the CISA.
