India: Fuel prices witness record high


(MENAFN) Local media reported that petrol and diesel costs have hit the record high in India, after rates were augmented on Saturday, Jan. 23, for the fourth time only this week.

On Saturday, petrol and diesel prices rose by 0.25 Indian rupee (about USD0.003) per liter, said a price notification from oil marketing firms.

With this, petrol turned dearer to 85.70 Indian rupees (about USD1.17) per liter and diesel turned dearer to 75.88 Indian rupees (about USD1.03) per liter in Delhi.

In fiscal capital Mumbai, petrol is currently accessible at 92.28 Indian rupees (about USD1.26) per liter and diesel is accessible at 82.66 Indian rupees (about USD1.13) per liter.
