(MENAFN- UkrinForm) More than 600,000 Ukrainians were employed in 2020 with the assistance of the State Employment Service, the State Employment Center has told Ukrinform.
The coronavirus crisis has become a serious challenge to the labor market. In Ukraine, and in the world, last year there was a significant decrease in the number of job vacancies with a simultaneous increase in unemployment.
In 2020, 606,000 Ukrainians were employed with the assistance of the State Employment Service. By type of economic activity, most citizens found work in agriculture (28%), processing industry (16%) and trade (15%), the report said.
Despite restrictive measures, the service's experts continued to search for jobs for the unemployed and found personnel for employers.
