Air Arabia to resume direct flights to Doha next week


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Air Arabia will resume direct flights to Qatar from Monday, January 18. It announced on Twitter that it will run daily flights between Sharjah and Doha.

As shown on its website, flight G9134 is the first direct flight from Sharjah to Doha. It is set to depart 4:10pm (UAE time) and will land in Doha at 4:10pm (Qatar time). Return flight will leave HIA at 5:10pm and will land in Sharjah at 7:10pm.

On January 9, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of UAE had announced reopening of airspace and resuming of air traffic between the UAE and the State of Qatar, following the signing of the Al-Ula Declaration, which includes an agreement for permanent solidarity.

Air Arabia is the first to announce flights from UAE to Qatar. Egypt Air has announced flights from Cairo starting on Monday and Saudia has already started flying from Riyadh to Doha.

Qatar Airways has also started flying to Riyadh and announced flights to Cairo and Alexandria from January 18.
