Iraq, Iran ink MoUs to enhance relations


(MENAFN) According to a report by official IRNA news agency, on Wednesday, Jan. 13, Iran and Iraq inked memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in Iran's capital Tehran, to boost collaboration in varied areas.

The report said that the deals were achieved at the end of the fourth assembly of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission of both states, where four expert committees were formed to talk about collaboration on engineering and technical services, consular affairs, monetary and banking matters, along with trade.

According to a report by IRNA, Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian stated that in the two-day assembly, beneficial talks were held between the two countries, which will fulfill the interests of both neighbors.

He further said: "during the meeting, the proposal to establish a joint investment fund between the two countries was raised and supported."
