Unemployment rate in member states of OECD declines to 6.9 percent


(MENAFN)On Wednesday, the body declared that the unemployment volume in member states of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) further declined to 6.9percent in November.

In September, the number stood at 7.1 percent.

The global body further stated that the November number stood at 1.7 percentage points above the level observed in February, before the new Coronavirus pandemic damaged the labor market.

The OECD area unemployment volume for youth -- people aged 15 to 24 fell to 14.3 percent from 14.4 percent in October, well decrease 19 percent in April.
