Egypt- Planning Ministry delegation inspects hospitals in 3 governorates

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) A delegation from Egypt's Ministry of Planning and Economic Development has visited Takamol hospitals in Giza, Fayoum, Menoufiya governorates, as part of its continued monitoring of the integration of hospitals in the country.

The delegation went to visit the primary care centre at the Al-Bakari Hospital, the Nahia Hospital, the Tatoun Integrated Hospital, and Abu Jandeer Al-Takamali Hospital in Fayoum Governorate.

It then went onto Menoufiya governorate, where it visited the Integrated Hospital at Jezi, and the Tamlai Health Unit.

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said noted the importance of Takamol hospitals in providing treatment services. She added that they are an important and necessary factor in implementing comprehensive health insurance that the state seeks to achieve.

This depends on family medicine units, the family file, and the family doctor in providing medical services to the public, especially villagers. The minister said that the spread of these hospitals in a large number of governorates supports the realisation of comprehensive health insurance.

El-Said noted her ministry's keenness to monitor integration hospitals, and discuss the challenges facing the operation of some of them.

She said that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development will work with the concerned authorities to provide the necessary support for these hospitals. This comes in light of the state's interest in the health sector, and the provision of the necessary services to citizens to ensure their safety.

The delegation was headed by Ismail Youssef, Head of the Human and Social Development Sector at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. It was also accompanied by Shaarawi Abdel Moneim, in charge of managing the central administration for services activities' work, with the participation of representatives from the National Council for Women (NCW) and the Ministry of Health and Population.
