(MENAFN)Qatari Finance Minister Ali Sharif Al-Emadi launched the new St. Regis hotel in Cairo on Tuesday, owned by state-run Qatari Diar real estate Company.
Egyptian Finance Minister Mohamed Maait and US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin were in the opening ceremony.
Emadi declared that “The State of Qatar, by investing in this project, confirms its commitment to supporting Egypt’s tourism sector and its vital role in economic development and job creation.”
The mentioned project shows a new addition to the already-present Qatari investments in Egypt, which surpass five billion dollars, he further said.
