Germany's exports revive in November but stay under pre-coronavirus level

(MENAFN) On Friday, Jan. 8, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) stated, Germans exports rose during November 2020 by 2.2 percent in comparison with to October to 111.7 billion euros (USD136.6 billion).

During November, Germany's exports carried on reviving from the fall attributed to the coronavirus pandemic but remained lower by 4.7 percent in comparison with February 2020, the month before constraints started in the country.

Destatis stated that, the country's exports to China carried on rising and were already 14.3 percent over last year's level, standing at around USD11,36 billion in November.

Christian Grimme of the Center for Macroeconomics and Surveys at the ifo Institute said to Xinhua on Friday that a key reason for this was China's "fast economic recovery" and its "faster containment of the coronavirus."
