Egypt witnesses 13 percent surge of oil, gas reserves


(MENAFN)A 13 percent surge has been viewed by Egypt, in the discovery of oil and gas reserves in 2020 in comparison with the last year.

Over 62oil and gas reserves were found in 2020, a year in which the international economy suffered due to the pandemic, declared the countrys Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

In the Western Desert, the Eastern Desert, 47 crude oil and 15 natural gas reserves were found, Gulf of Suez, Nile Delta and the Mediterranean Sea.

Egypt found 40 crude oil and 15 natural gas reserves in the Mediterranean, the Western Desert, the Eastern Desert, Gulf of Suez, Nile Delta and Sinai, in 2019.
