Qatar Scientific Club concludes activities of Spring Science Camp


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC)  concluded the activities of the Spring Science Camp, which was held at its headquarters under the slogan 'Discover and Innovate.

Registration was accepted with only 50% of the capacity for each class group, so that the maximum number in the halls was only 10 participants instead of 20 participants in normal cases. 

As many as 160 participants took part in the entire activity, while fully observing the precautionary measures related to the coronavirus pandemic.

A special programme and tools were assigned to each participant, and the age groups were divided into three categories: (7 to 9 years old), (10 to 12 years old), and (13 to 16 years old). Head of the Scientific Activities and Events Department at the Qatar Scientific Club Sheikh Ali bin Salman Al Thani thanked the Ministry of Culture and Sports for its support for such events that provide participants with science and knowledge, and also contribute to increasing their self-confidence by practicing and using their hands in the implementation of applied projects.

The Scientific Club stated that the camp presented new topics and projects that were implemented, such as manufacturing means to prevent coronavirus (COVID-19), in addition to implementing the solar-powered project and implementing the robot model.
