ALGIERS, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- The Algerian army announced Sunday government forces neutralized 37 terrorists and arrested 108 others as part of the country's plan to combat terrorism in 2020.
In a statement, the army said its units neutralized 37 terrorists during the past year while 108 others were captured.
It stated that 251 cashes were destroyed, in addition to seizure of 40 machineguns and 25 automatic pistols.
The army said various types of ammunition, arms, bombs, bullets and mines were destroyed.
The army said yesterday four terrorists and two servicemen were killed during a confrontation in Tipaza, west of Algiers. (end)
