Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan sign agreements for USD300 million for renewable energy projects


(MENAFN)Agreements for USD300 million values of renewable energy projects in the Caspian country were signed by Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.

The Kingdom"s energy leader ACWA Power will expand Azerbaijan"s first wind power development in cooperation with local entities, in three deals that could sign further joint energy projects amid both countries.

The collaboration was a further example of the "long-standing diplomatic and economic relationship" amid the Kingdom and Azerbaijan, Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia"s energy minister stated in an online signing ceremony.

He further stated that, "Saudi Arabia is delighted to be a partner in the future growth and development of Azerbaijan through helping it on its renewable energy journey. I am proud to say that the project has been made possible through Saudi expertise and capabilities."
