(MENAFN) On Monday, Dec. 28 the Central Bank of Brazil stated that, Brazil's financial analysts preserved their economic expansion estimate for this year at 4.4 percent, but raised their expansion expectations for next year from 3.46 percent to 3.49 percent.
Analysts preserved expected inflation for the present year at 4.39 percent, but decreased their inflation estimate for the following year from 3.37 percent to 3.34 percent, said the bank's weekly survey of Brazil's leading financial institutions.
Estimated inflation drops within the administration's objective rate of 4 percent this year and 3.75 percent next year, with a margin of tolerance of 1.5 percentage points either up or down.
The estimate for the benchmark interest rate, which now come in at 2 percent year-on-year, was amended upwards, from 3 percent to 3.13 percent for next year.
