Chinese fixed-asset transportation investment surpasses trillions


(MENAFN) A national transport work symposium said that, Chinese fixed-asset investment in transportation is expected to come in at more than 3.42 trillion yuan (around USD523.47 billion) in the current year.

According to the symposium, during the fallout, railway domain investments will probably stand at around USD119,1 billion, and that on civil aviation will reach about USD16,07 billion. Road and waterway building will have the lion's share of investments, with more than about USD388 billion.

According to Minister of Transport Li Xiaopeng, China will invest around USD367 billion in the transport sector next year.

A white paper issued on Tuesday said that, the country is moving ahead in constructing an inclusive and multidimensional traffic net that is smart, secure and green to turn into a world leader in the sector.
