(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec 5 (Petra) –– Civil Defence rescue teams Saturday rushed to evacuate two people who were stranded in the Zarqa governorate's Rukban region as heavy downpours swept large areas of the Kingdom and triggered flash floods.
The Public Security Directorate said that civil defence crews dealt with an incident, where two people were trapped by flash floods in Rukban during the storm that hit the Kingdom this morning, and evacuated them to a safe place.
Rising water levels forced the temporary closure of a desert road in the northeastern region.
