World Bank gives Morocco USD400m mortgage


(MENAFN) Official news agency MAP revealed that the World Bank granted on Friday, December 4, USD400 million to Morocco to help construct an efficient social safety scheme to the poor.

The statement revealed that the loan will be used for improvements in Morocco social security system so as to get to the poorest and most susceptible communities.

The statement cited Jesko Hentschel, World Bank Maghreb Country manager, as stating that the World Bank assists the North African country's response to the coronavirus pandemic in building a broad, effectual and fundamental safety net scheme for susceptible populations.
